President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned the firing incident targeting police personnel deployed for security during the anti-polio campaign in Pindiali Tehsil of Mohmand District.

In a statement, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of police personnel in the incident.

The President paid tribute to the martyred policemen for their dedication, bravery and national service.

Asif Ali Zardari also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured police personnel.

The President said police personnel deployed to protect polio teams are performing a national duty, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

First Lady Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari has also strongly condemned the attack on police personnel deployed to protect polio teams in Mohmand.

In a post on her X handle, she paid tribute to the officers for their courage and sacrifice while performing their national duty to protect children from polio.

Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured officer.

The First Lady said such cowardly attacks cannot deter Pakistan’s efforts to protect its children from polio.
