Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Senator Musadik Malik has stressed that changing global economic and climate realities require a fresh understanding of development.

Addressing the inaugural plenary session of the 29th Sustainable Development Conference in Islamabad, he said Pakistan needed to reconsider how development was planned and implemented, raising three fundamental questions.

He further said the government had established a 10-million-dollar Green Field Fund to support startups and young innovators working on science, technology and climate-related solutions.
