Around 9000 women were killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since October last year.

This was reported by UN Women, a United Nations agency dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women.

It called the war in besieged Gaza as a war on women.

The agency said that roughly thirty seven mothers are killed every day, leaving their families devastated and their children with diminished protection.
