Pakistan completes arrangements to increase rice exports to Malaysia

Pakistan has completed arrangements to increase its rice exports to Malaysia on the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and through the efforts of relevant ministries and officials. 

An additional seventy thousand metric tons of Pakistani rice will be exported to Malaysia from October to December this year.

The additional export quantity has been secured through effective diplomatic and trade efforts in line with the Prime Minister’s directives.

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of the relevant team in securing additional exports of Pakistani rice.

Shehbaz Sharif said the additional export of seventy thousand metric tons of Pakistani rice is an important development for the prosperity of farmers and the national economy.

He said expanding access to international markets for Pakistani agricultural commodities is a top priority of the government.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan will continue its journey towards the goal of export-led economic growth through sustained efforts.
