Analysts hail Corps Commanders' resolve to counter terrorism
October 02, 2026

AVM (R) Ijaz Malik (Defence Analyst): The Corps Commanders’ Conference is very significant in the wake of prevailing regional and international security situation. The Corps Commanders' Conference has affirmed Pakistan's right to self-defence and targeted action against terrorism emanating from Afghanistan. As per defence pacts between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and Makkah Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, Pakistan wants to ensure full-fledged support to Saudi Arabia and even Turkiye against the foreign threats. Under Makkah Alliance, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye have agreed on a mutual security framework that a threat to any single country will be considered as threat to other two countries too. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in his press conference has also highlighted this aspect of the Makkah Alliance. Pakistan has been elected as first secretary general of this alliance. I think that Pakistan needs utmost unity against internal and international threats as all segments of society were on same page and united in the Marka e Haq against India and nation defeated India for being united. I think that there must be no political unrest in the country therefore social chaotic situation must be avoided to avert social economic losses to the country.

Dr. Manzoor Khan Afridi (IR Expert):The Corps Commanders Conference has rightly expressed firm resolve to safeguard national territorial sovereignty against foreign threats and challenges. Corps Commanders vow targeted action against terror emanating from Afghanistan. Afghan Taliban regime gave a commitment at Doha accord that they would not allow use of Afghan soil against any country including Pakistan but they have failed to come up their commitment. Now terrorism emanating from Afghanistan against Pakistan is sheer violation of Doha Accord, international laws and commitment made to the US. Makkah Alliance is a welcoming development because Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have solid and strong ties since ever. Pakistan has always stood shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia in every difficult time. Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq and other countries may also join Makkah Alliance in near future.  Pakistan is moving steadily in global diplomatic arena and we will see positive outcome of this advancement soon. Today, Indian forces violated border agreement and international laws by martyring two Pakistani civilians. Pakistan needs to take up this issue at UN and other international forums to expose Modi government’s heinous face before the world. India under Modi regime is habitual of declaring killing of innocent people in fake encounters by Indian forces as false flag operations. Now the whole world is well sensitized about of Indian malicious and fake propaganda against Pakistan. UN and a large number of human rights organizations have also issued reports about grave rights violations by Indian forces. Indians are also exercising religious discrimination towards minorities as Indian fanatics are carrying out daily attacks on holy religious places of Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and other minorities in India. Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has become world’s biggest weaponized and militarized zone where Indian forces are killing innocent Kashmiris in fake encounters. India has denied access to international media and human rights organizations to IIOJK to hide mass grave human rights violations by occupying forces.
