Fourth meeting of 'Kashmir Cell' established on the special directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan was held in Islamabad.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi chaired the meeting.
It was attended by Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Syed Fakhar Imam and senior civil and military officials.
The Foreign Minister briefed the participants on the recent US visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan and meetings held with various heads of state and international human rights organizations, on the sidelines of 74th Session of UN General Assembly in New York.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had more than seventy meetings and contacts which include talks with various heads of state, international human rights organizations and international media.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said meetings with civil society, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch and with international media proved fruitful in which Prime Minister exposed the fake narrative of India.
He said Prime Minister presented the case of innocent Kashmiris in his UN General Assembly address which is unprecedented.
Qureshi said voices are being heard across the world now against the brutal treatment of Kashmiris by India.
He said joint declaration of the OIC Contact Group about Occupied Jammu and Kashmir situation on the sidelines of 74th Session of UN General Assembly is a good omen. He said Pakistan will continue political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris in their just struggle.
Participants of the meeting congratulated Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on successful visit to the US.
