APHC urges Kashmiris to observe Aug 5 as Black Day

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to observe August 5, as Black Day.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the appeal was made through statements issued in Srinagar on behalf of illegally detained Hurriyat leadership including APHC Chairman Massarat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi and Nayeem Ahmed Khan, who are languishing in New Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail.

Appeal is aimed to convey a strong message to the entire world that India is illegal occupier of their motherland and the Kashmiris will continue their struggle till achievement of UN-granted right to self-determination.

Senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also called for observance of August  5 as black day on Saturday. 

The Hurriyat leaders said that the August 5 illegal action was an attack on Kashmir’s unique identity, culture and demography.

They urged the Kashmiris all over the world to hold protest demonstrations on Saturday to draw the attention of the world towards the sufferings of oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Gujjar and Bakarwal community members took out a protest rally in Poonch town against the Modi government’s wicked plan of pitching Kashmiri Muslims against each other on different pretexts.

On the other hand, Indian troops and paramilitary personnel arrested two youth during a cordon and search operation in Azadgunj area of Baramulla town.
