The National Disaster Management Authority has issued an alert for rain with thunderstorms and hailstorms in various parts of the country during the next twelve to twenty-four hours.

According to the NDMA's National Emergencies Operation Center, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is likely in various districts of Punjab, while hailstorm is also expected at a few places.

Rain with thunderstorms is also likely in various areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until Tuesday.

Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel, drive with caution, and closely follow weather advisories.
