Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has lauded the role of Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts in maintaining law and order in the region.

Visiting the Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts Headquarters in Gilgit on Friday, he said the force is showing extraordinary valour at Siachen.

Sheikh Rashid said Gilgit-Baltistan is playing an important role in development of the country and it is being included in national mainstream.

The Minister said Pakistan's water and energy problems will end with the completion of Diamer-Bhasha dam.
