National Assembly's Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting has strongly condemned the incident of violence against journalists in Islamabad High Court. 

The Committee met in Islamabad on Thursday with Javeria Zafar in the chair.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb briefed the meeting that the Interior Minister has sought a report of the incident.

The Committee decided to consider a bill for protection of journalists in next meeting.                  

The Committee has also sought detailed briefing on murder of journalist Arshad Sharif.

It also discussed censoring television dramas which show content against social values.
