Birth anniversary of Pakistan’s youngest computer scientist Arfa Karim Randhawa is being observed today.

Born this date in 1995, Arfa Karim became world's youngest Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional in 2004 at an age of nine years.

She received many awards including the Presidential Pride of Performance Award in 2005.

Arfa Karim represented Pakistan at various international fora and was also invited to visit Microsoft Headquarters in the United States.

She died at a very young age of sixteen years on 14th January 2012 due to cardiac arrest.
