Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has emphasized the important role of responsible and professional media in projecting a balanced, positive and constructive image of Pakistan.

He expressed these views while talking to Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, Faisal Zahid Malik, who called on him in Islamabad today [Tuesday].

During the meeting, matters related to parliamentary diplomacy and the role of the media in promoting Pakistan's positive image were also discussed.

Faisal Zahid Malik thanked the Acting President for acknowledging the role of Pakistan Observer and said that the newspaper would continue to play its role in projecting Pakistan's national interests and positive image around the world.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, Saud Faisal Malik, was also present on the occasion.
