President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan intends to forge strong bilateral relations with Bangladesh in all areas including commerce, trade, sports, culture and people-to-people ties.

He was speaking at a reception hosted to Bangladesh and Pakistan Men’s cricket teams in Lahore on Sunday.

Asif Ali Zardari said the Pakistan government is trying to build a stronger relationship with Bangladesh. He stressed the need to keep investing in people to take the bilateral relations to new heights.

The President underscored cricket's role as a global connector of nations, expressing his pleasure at hosting the Bangladeshi cricket team in Pakistan.

President Zardari reassured the Bangladesh envoy to Pakistan of his full support in furthering the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. He also expressed his desire to visit Bangladesh.
