United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has conveyed his condolences to Governments of Bangladesh and Mali over killing of four UN peacekeepers in Mali's central Mopti region.

In a statement, the spokesman for U.N. Secretary-General said Guterres also conveyed his profound sympathies to the families and victims in this attack.

The Spokesman said U.N. peacekeepers who lost their lives in the attack were from Bangladesh.
