Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Qatar seems to be very significant in the current economic and political scenario of the country. It is an extension of the Prime minister’s visits to Saudi Arabia and UAE to overcome economic crises in the country. The Qatar visit will bring fruitful benefits for Pakistan’s economy. Qatar is the largest exporter of LNG in the world. Pakistan may request to avail the provision of DEFT payment for LNG imports. There is Pakistani community working in Qatar and they are playing a significant role to improve country’s economy. Qatar has lauded Pakistan's participation in the field of defense and security especially pertaining to the FIFA World Cup. It is an opportunity for Pakistan to strengthen economy and energy ties with Qatar. Many agreements regarding labor procurement, Economy, Supply of LNG and security arrangements of FIFA world cup are expected. Qatar has played a significant role to facilitate Afghan peace process.
