Dr. Qibla Ayaz (Chairman, Council of Islamic Ideology): It is our privilege and luck that Pakistan is progressing towards Islamic finance and welfare oriented policies in real sense.  The basic principles of Islamic financing are fairness, equality, justice, transparency and pursuit of social harmony. There is need to implement Zakat system in its true spirit as it can resolve major economic issues of our society. Necessary measures should also be taken to improve the regulatory framework of Islamic banking industry, besides taking initiatives for enhancing capacity level to facilitate development of human resource for this growing market.
