The United States President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have discussed the state of relations, arms control and cooperation on counter terrorism.

White House spokesman Hogan Gidley said Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with President Donald Trump by phone to thank him for information that helped foil a potential holiday terrorist attack in Russia.
