China says the development of bilateral relations among countries should be conducive to regional peace, stability and development and must not infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of a third party.

This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin in Beijing while Commenting on Indo-US defence deal, Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement, during US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Defence Mark Esper visit to India.

He urged certain US politicians to reject the Cold-War and zero-sum game mentality, stop making moves like hyping up the so-called "China threat", sowing discord between regional countries, and undercutting the regional peace and stability.
