The parliamentary leaders belonging to world countries have called for immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

In a joint statement, Inter-Parliamentary Union President Tulia Ackson and Secretary-General Martin Chungong, on behalf of these leaders, have urged the relevant authorities to take urgent action to alleviate the suffering of the people in Gaza.

The statement also emphasized the importance of upholding international humanitarian law and reiterated strong disapproval of any violence directed against civilians.
