Analysts all praise for PM’s Naya Pakistan Housing Program
March 28, 2021

Dr. Salman Shah (Advisor to Punjab Government): Owning a house is the dream of every person. There is a great demand for housing in Pakistan. Pakistan Naya Housing Program is designed to overcome all the financing issues for the general public. People can furnish and construct their houses with the help of banks and they can also buy land and construct at a later stage. It is a great initiative in order to generate more jobs and improve the economy of the country. Construction is a big industry and many other industries are linked with this labor intensive sector. We need to boost the building sector and attract more international investors to Pakistan.

Ali Muhammad Khan (Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs):The incumbent government is providing shelter, food and clothes to the poorest segments of the society in its true spirit. The poor people can start building their own house with limited resources. Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken a great initiative to make Pakistan a real welfare state. Construction industry will ensure improvement in the economy. The government is taking concrete measures to provide a conducive atmosphere for international and national investors. The PTI-led government is committed to overcome all the challenges and provide shelter to the working class which cannot afford a personal house otherwise.

Dr. Khurrum Iqbal (IR Expert): Afghanistan is a war torn country which is still in chaos and political instability. The recent statements from Joe Biden administration and Taliban leadership is indicating towards further escalation in the region. Russia, China, Turley, Qatar and Pakistan are playing significant rule for sustained durable peace in Afghanistan. The heart of Asia conference in such circumstances becomes more relevant. Sideline meetings hold great significance and any meeting between India and Pakistan would improve bilateral ties between the two rival states. Indian has always been a peace spoiler in the region however there is a school of thought which suggests that we can complement the vision of the Prime Minister and COAS by including India in the Afghanistan peace process. Political instability in Afghanistan is posing a serious threat to regional peace and security. It is possible that volatility in Afghanistan is in the strategic and political interest of the United States.
