Pakistan has urged the United Nations to play a proactive role for resolving international disputes.

Addressing UN General Assembly in New York, Pakistan's permanent representative to the United Nations Dr. Maleeha Lodhi called to resolve the very causes of disputes for establishing lasting global peace.

She said foreign occupation and interference lead to international conflicts.
