Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf says the true expression of reverence for the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam lies in the implementation of his teachings in our lives.

He was addressing a Mehfil-e-Naat and prize distribution ceremony of the National Seerat-un-Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam Competitions in Islamabad today.

The Minister said the life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam is an exemplary model of mercy, love, justice, tolerance and noble character for all humanity.

He said the true spirit of Naat is reflected when the teachings and Seerat of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam become visible in our lives. He further said that Naat is not merely an art of expressing beautiful words; rather, it is a profound expression of love, devotion and spiritual awareness.

He said the younger generation today is confronted with multiple intellectual, moral, social and digital challenges.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said social media, meaningless content, intolerance, materialism and negative influences are shaping the thoughts and outlook of our youth. In such an environment, the Seerat of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam offers the best guidance and direction.

He said the Seerat not only teaches us the principles of worship but also guides us in becoming responsible individuals, good citizens and contributing members of a strong and harmonious society.

The Minister said there is a need to promote brotherhood, tolerance, justice, patience, selflessness, sacrifice and mutual respect in society.

He said the stability, security, progress and prosperity of Pakistan are a collective responsibility. Our love for our homeland should not remain confined to emotions and slogans; rather, it must be reflected in our character, performance of duties and practical lives.

Later, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf distributed prizes to the winners of the Naat recitation competition, Seerat books, and essay writing competitions.
