Iran says it would expand its ties with Lebanon in spite of US pressure.

Earlier, addressing a joint press conference with Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil in Labanon, the US Secretary of State Pompeo had said that Iran's support for Hezbollah is causing harm to Lebanon.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi dismissed Pompeo’s remarks and said that Lebanon’s Hezbollah is a legal and popular party and termed Pompeo remarks as irrational.
