Karate athlete from Peshawar Shams ul Arifeen has made the country proud by winning the gold and silver medals at the South Asia Full Contact Karate Championship in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Shams-ul-Arifeen won a gold medal in Individual Kaata fighting.

The athlete also won a silver medal in Kumite fighting in the championship.
