Prime Minister Imran Khan says provision of low-cost housing is one of the government's top priorities.

This was expressed by the Prime Minister during a meeting with Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority retired Lieutenant General Anwar Ali Haider who called him in Islamabad on Friday.

The Prime Minister said government introduced Mortgage financing for the first time in the history of the country. Imran Khan said poor people of the country will now be able to own their houses by paying installments instead of rent.

Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of construction and especially Naya Pakistan housing projects across the country. He apprised the Prime Minister that State Bank of Pakistan has approved 69 billion rupees for mortgage financing project.
