Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) role model for Muslims: President

President Dr. Arif Alvi says Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) is the great role model for Muslims in every aspect of life.

Addressing the concluding session of two-day International Rehmatal-Lil-Aalameen Conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said we should only follow the golden teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) in true spirit.

The President said we should come out of our egos and demonstrate patience and forgiveness as the Holy Prophet [PBUH] has always emphasized on mercy towards all creatures of Allah Almighty.

He said it is responsibility of the state to take care of orphans, needy and destitute people.

He said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had never used harsh words to hurt anyone.

The President said water conservation is also a hallmark of Holy Prophet's teachings.

Dr Arif Alvi said women's share in heritance should be given as per teachings of the Holy Prophet's respect and sanctity should instead act upon the message given by Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W.

 

The president also distributed awards among prize winning authors, who wrote books on Seerat.

Addressing the Conference, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said the life of Holy Prophet [PBUH] guides His followers into enteral success.

He said we are celebrating Eid Milad-u-Nabi to highlight the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet [PBUH].

The Minister made it clear that a person declared as non-Muslim in the Constitution of Pakistan cannot be declared as Muslim and no one can dare to amend the Constitution to get a non-Muslim declared as Muslim.

On the occasion, fateha was offered for the Muslims, who lost their lives in a recent blast in Afghanistan, Kashmir, Syria, and other parts of the world.

On the conclusion of the conference, a declaration was also adopted paying rich tribute to the Holy Prophet [PBUH] for making the humanity respectable, giving honor to women, and poor segments of society.

The declaration also welcomed EU court for differentiating between undermining a religion and freedom of expression. It said blasphemous acts against sacred personalities of any religion are a punishable offence.
