International Day of Peace being observed today
September 21, 2021

International Day of Peace is being observed on Tuesday to highlight the global challenges which pose serious threat to mankind.

Theme for this year is “Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world”.

Pakistan has always supported the United Nations in ensuring peace in the world and deployed one of the largest peace keeping contingents under UN umbrella.

The world has also acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts and extra-ordinary results while Pakistan achieved in fight against terrorism.

On the other hand, India has been violating human rights of Muslims especially in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and has put peace in danger of the most populated part of the world.

Moreover, three nuclear armed nations are in the region and the extent of patronage India is enjoying merely due to its vast market may yield catastrophic consequences.

At the time when world is observing International Day of Peace today, the peace is something quite unknown to the peace-loving people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu who are facing the worst state terrorism let loose by India in the territory for the past 74 years.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service in connection with International Day of Peace, today, cited the victims of the Machil and Shopian fake encounters, killing of top resistance leaders including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and Syed Ali Gilani in detention and said that such incidents mock the global celebration of the peace day.

The report maintained that 21 September is dedicated to the global peace, but the Kashmiris continue to suffer under brutal Indian occupation while the same continues to elude South Asia for the past more than seven decades due to the free license enjoyed by India to carry out massacre of the Kashmiri people with impunity.
