Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry says the government is actively working to promote sports in the country.

Addressing a eremony at Waqar-un-Nisa College for Women in Rawalpindi today, he said the government is also striving to provide better facilities to youth. He said encouragement of athletes at grassroots-level also remains a key priority of the government.

The Parliamentary Secretary stressed that collaboration between education and sports sectors can open up greater opportunities for youth to showcase their abilities.

On the occasion, he distributed one hundred twenty seven hockey kits among players from across Rawalpindi district.

The initiative aims to equip young players with essential sports gear while revitalizing hockey at the grassroots level.
