The US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo has said that his country is reviving its leadership role in Middle East by building and supporting coalitions to tackle regional challenges.

Addressing at the UN Security Council in New York on Middle East peace and security, he said the United States has launched effort to protect international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

Pompeo said from Aleppo to Aden, from Tripoli to Tehran, greater cooperation in the Middle East is needed and we need fresh thinking to solve old problems.
