Dr. Moeed Yusuf (National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister):Pakistan has laid out a comprehensive security plan for the world where economic and human security is the core agenda of the government. Pakistan believes in peaceful coexistence and economic collaboration. Islamabad is taking concrete measures for durable peace in Afghanistan and is trying to convince India to resolve outstanding issues through dialogue. The incumbent government is taking comprehensive measures to reduce poverty and ensure social safety through Ehsaas initiative. It is highly important to make collective efforts for regional peace. India must show seriousness to resolve regional issues.

Dr. Khurram Iqbal (IR Expert): Historically, it has been observed that a number of South Asian countries are obsessed with traditional concept of security which revolves around guns, missiles and conventional military technology. The developed world has moved from traditional to non-traditional security paradigm where human and economic security takes precedence over military security. Pakistan has also shown signs of this paradigm shift where we are focusing more on economic and human security. It is success of Pakistani political leadership which is leaving no stone unturned and conveying this message loud and clear to the global audience. Pakistan has played a significant role in promoting connectivity and economic integration in the region. Islamabad believes that economic dependency leads towards peace and security. Unfortunately, Pakistan's idea of peace has never been reciprocated by Indian side. Islamabad’s vision of security is a golden opportunity for different South Asian countries to come forward and forge economic interdependence. Pakistan believes that if Afghanistan is stable, the entire region will be stable. Pakistan is taking practical steps to ensure peace in Afghanistan. Pakistan also urges India to engage in constructive engagements to promote regional peace and security.

Khalid Khattak (Former Ambassador): Joe Biden has never been sympathetic towards Russia. Putin is a very seasoned politician and gives replies in a more sophisticated and polished manner. The new administration in Washington must exhibit a careful attitude towards global powers. The United States cannot afford such behavior at this point of time. It is not appropriate to call the head of a state a killer when your own record is not very good. Joe Biden is a soft spoken person; however such outrageous statements are a sign of frustration. The US administration is envious of Russia's increasing influence in Afghanistan.
