Iran has urged United Nations Security Council to address Israeli threats against its oil shipments. 

In a letter to the UN Security Council, Iran's Permanent Mission to the world body said Tehran will not hesitate to exercise its right to self-defense if Israel attempts to block its oil cargoes.
