Seventh session of Joint Cooperation Committee on CPEC has begun in Islamabad.

In his inaugural remarks, Secretary Planning Commission Shoaib Siddiqui said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has boosted the bilateral relations between the two countries.

He said Pakistan values leadership and public of China for completion of the mega project of CPEC.

The Secretary said the government and people of Pakistan are fully determined for successful and peaceful completion of the project.

He said under the CPEC, projects of energy, infrastructure and Gwadar are positively progressing towards completion.

He said that Gwadar is the most important component of the CPEC and a guarantee of regional prosperity.

Shoaib Siddiqui said the working groups comprised of experts from Pakistan and China have compiled recommendations for bilateral progress in fields of energy, infrastructure, industrial cooperation and Gwadar.
