England cancels Pakistan tour
September 20, 2021

The England Cricket Board decided to cancel its tour to Pakistan, just days after New Zealand withdrew its team at the last minute ahead of its series.

England’s men’s and women’s teams were scheduled to play two Twenty20 matches in Rawalpindi on October 13 and 14. The women’s team were also scheduled to play three One-Day Internationals in Pakistan on October 17, 19, and 21.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja in his Tweet said that he is disappointed with England, pulling out of their commitment & failing a member of their cricket fraternity when it needed it most.

PCB Chief said that Pakistan will survive Inshallah. He added that this is a wake up call for Pakistan team to become the best team in the world for teams to line up to play them without making excuses.
