President Dr. Arif Alvi says the government has an ambitious and people-centric agenda for socio-economic development of the country.

Talking to a delegation from Harvard University, USA, who called on him in Islamabad today, he said this agenda is the driving force behind our foreign policy.

The President said these broad based socio-economic reforms are aimed at creating sustained growth that will lead to greater employment opportunities for our youth. He said the government is committed to an open door policy and has already introduced a more liberalized visa regime to attract foreign visitors and businessmen. He stated that the Government will continue implementing reforms to make Pakistan a business and tourism-friendly country. The President stated that Pakistan is a strong proponent of peace in the region and assured that the government will continue its efforts for regional peace and stability.
