Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry have strongly condemned the irresponsible statement made by PTI founder's sister, Noreen Niazi, regarding Pakistan's historic victory in Marka-e-Haq.
In a video statement, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said Pakistan's success in Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos had earned global acknowledgement. He added that military experts, sections of the international media and world leaders had recognized Pakistan's performance during the conflict.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said Pakistan publicly released the tail numbers of the Indian aircraft it destroyed, while India could never deny the downing of its planes. He also said Pakistan's military and cyber operations demonstrated the country's capabilities during the operation.
In his video statement, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry termed Noreen Niazi's remarks as shameful and contrary to Pakistan's sovereignty, dignity and national interest.
He said Pakistan's armed forces are a symbol of the country's security and honour, and praised their sacrifices in defending the nation.
Talal Chaudhry said the whole nation condemns this statement.
He said PTI founder and his family are repeatedly making statements against state institutions, particularly the armed forces.
Talal Chaudhry further said that legal action has been initiated against Noreen Niazi over her remarks. He said an initial legal notice has already been served.
In a video statement, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani said Noreen Niazi's remarks are highly condemnable and regrettable.
He said it is unfortunate that some elements are finding it difficult to accept Pakistan's victory in Marka-e-Haq.
Bilal Azhar Kayani said Noreen Niazi's statement reflects the mindset of the PTI and its founder, under which they are willing to go to any extent to serve their vested political interests.
He said such elements do not hesitate to put Pakistan's defence, diplomacy, and economy at stake.
