Govt acknowledges sacrifices of tribal people in war against terror: Farman

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman says one hundred billion rupees will be spent annually on development of tribal areas of the province.

Addressing a representative tribal Jirga of Khyber district in Peshawar, he said an amount of twenty-four billion rupees has also been earmarked in the provincial budget for development of tribal districts.

Shah Farman said government has waved off taxes in the newly merged tribal district for five years and the incentive will be further continued for next five years as well.

The governor said the government acknowledges the sacrifices of tribal people in the war against terror.
