National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser says Pakistan attaches high importance to its long-standing fraternal relations with Bahrain, which are rooted in shared faith, beliefs and mutual traditions of Islamic brotherhood.

He expressed these views while talking to Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain Fawzia Bint Abdullah Zainal along with a seven-member parliamentary delegation in Islamabad on Wednesday.

He said bilateral relations between the two countries can be strengthened by expanding cooperation in the field of trade, investment and human resources development.

The National Assembly Speaker said Pakistani diaspora is playing an important role in the socio-economic development of Bahrain as well as of Pakistan. He said Pakistan has huge skilled manpower which would continue playing its vital role for the progress of Bahrain.

Asad Qaiser invited Bahraini investors and businessmen to invest in Pakistan as the country offers business friendly environment for investors.

Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain Fawzaia Bint Abdullah Zainal acknowledged that Pakistani manpower has vital role to play for socio-economic development of Bahrain.

Fawzaia Bint Abdullah Zainal said Pakistan's position in the countries of Muslim ummah is of paramount importance to bring all Muslims together.
