Mashhood discusses youth development with UN officials

Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan met with Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Development at the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Naveed Hanif.

Both sides discussed productive employment, future skills, digital transformation, and stronger youth participation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The meeting also highlighted Pakistan's Learning-to-Earning approach through the Prime Minister's Digital Youth Hub.

The Assistant Secretary-General acknowledged Pakistan's continued efforts and strong commitment to establishing the UN Youth Delegate Programme, recognizing its importance in empowering young people to engage in global policymaking and advancing Pakistan's youth representation on international platforms.

The Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme also met with UNICEF Deputy Executive Director of Programmes Omar Abdi to strengthen collaboration on the Learning-to-Earning initiative, the Prime Minister's Digital Youth Hub, ‘Pur Azm Pakistan’, future skills, and the implementation of the National Adolescent and Youth Policy.

The two sides also explored enhanced cooperation under Generation Unlimited to equip Pakistan's young people with the skills needed to thrive in the AI-driven and green economy.
