The United Arab Emirates is working to de-escalate tensions with Iran.

Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President Anwar Gargash speaking at a conference in Abu Dhabi said we have taken steps to deescalate tensions, as we have no interest in a confrontation.

He said the whole region would pay the price of such a confrontation for decades to come.
