Finance Minister says the exports will grow up to 20 percent in next two months as a result of prudent economic policies of the government.        

Winding up debate on cut motions pertaining to Finance Ministry, he said the government has given unprecedented tax relief to salaries class.

The House  has passed thirty-three demands for grants relating to different ministries and departments for the next fiscal year.

Pakistan Peoples Party, PTI and Jamat-e-Islami withdrew their cut-motions on these demands of grants while those moved by the MQM were rejected by the House.

Winding up debate on the cut motions, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Shaikh Aftab Ahmed pointed out that several power plants were commissioned during the tenure of present government which added ten thousand megawatt electricity to the national grid.

 He said that there are plans to add fifty thousand megawatt of electricity to the system by 2025.  

The Minister said sufficient gas  is available in the country after the import of LNG to the country. He said  no CNG or any other factory is closed today due to gas shortage.

Earlier, responding to the points of Chief of JUI (F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other members, Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch said there will be no change in the status of tribal areas in the next general elections.

He said FATA members will be elected on twelve seats.

The Federal Minister said the government is not bringing the bill for merger of FATA with KPK.

He said we are only bringing an amendment to decide the representation of FATA in the assembly. Similarly we are working to abolish the black laws such as FCR.

Abdul Qadir Baloch said the federal government is not diverting from its development package for the tribal areas and funds will be provided as per the promise made with the people of FATA.

He said ninety seven point five percent of IDPs have returned to their areas and we are committed to their resettlement.

Abdul Qadir Baloch said that the committee on FATA reforms package visited all the tribal agencies and majority of the people there supported the merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
