Pakistan, Kazakhstan to enhance bilateral trade volume to $1Bn: Envoy

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin has said that both countries are committed to enhance bilateral trade volume to one billion dollars in the coming years.

Addressing members of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lahore today, he said that a joint working group has been established to prepare a five-year roadmap for cooperation, while six sectoral working groups covering trade, transport, energy, agriculture, information technology, and education are already operational.

The Ambassador said that progress has been made in facilitating business travel through the introduction of e-visas, strengthening banking channels, and the plan to relaunch direct flights between Lahore and Almaty.
