A standing ovation was given to eminent broadcaster and outgoing Director News and Current Affairs Zohra Usmani at National Broadcasting House in Islamabad on Thursday.

Zohra Usmani started her professional career in Radio Pakistan as Sub-Editor in 1986. She was promoted to the post of Director News in 2019. During her thirty-four years professional career, she performed duties in different capacities, including Controller News and Current Affairs Channel, Principal Pakistan Broadcasting Academy, Controller News Coordination and Chairperson Anti-Harassment Committee PBC. She has the distinction of making history as first woman Director News of Radio Pakistan.

During her professional career as professional journalist, Zohra Usmani participated in different programs and trainings at United Nations General Assembly, Deutsche Welle and within the country.

Director News and Current Affairs Abdul Hadi and senior officers and staff of NCAC paid rich tributes to Zohra Usmani for her marvelous services at Radio Pakistan and her contribution for bringing positive development in the national organization.
