In Afghanistan, polio cases are on the rise due to Taliban regime's incompetence and negligence.

According to Afghan media Khaama Press, UNICEF has expressed concern over the spread of polio in Afghanistan and emphasized accelerating the polio vaccination campaign.

The UN Agency said health institutions in Afghanistan face severe challenges due to insecurity, safety issues  and difficulty reaching remote areas.
