Mirza Ikhtyar Baig (Economist): Today is a historic day and we have achieved a remarkable milestone by signing multidimensional memoranda of understanding with Turkish high officials. Strategic and economic framework is the top most priority of both the countries. It is high time for Pakistan to enhance economic cooperation with Turkey in order to improve economic outlook of the country. It is highly appreciable that Turkey has ensured its support in FATF. The Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has once again endorsed Pakistan's stance in Kashmir issue. I appreciate the Prime Minister Imran Khan for inviting Turkish companies to invest in Pakistan. Altogether it is a win-win situation between two Muslim states. The Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has rightly suggested that increase in trade activities is the key to create job opportunities for talented youth. Incumbent government is committed to take corrective measure to uphold economy and facilitate the international investors. We should take advantage of Turkish expertise for economic prosperity.

Turkey and Pakistan enjoy deep, historical and beneficial bilateral relationship. It is highly appreciable that both the governments are committed to support each other in times of need. Ankara has always been an important capital for Pakistan. Turkey has important economic linkages with Europe which can also benefit Pakistan by establishing long term economic ties with Turkey. Both the countries have strong defense and strategic ties with each other. The recent visit of Tayyip Erdogan would further strengthen and enhance bilateral ties between two brotherly states. Pakistan's strong ties with Turkey are in the best interest of the region.

Turkey has always supported the people of Kashmir and categorically endorsed Pakistan's narrative in Kashmir issue. Turkey has clear stance that Kashmir is a disputed land and the issue should be resolved in accordance with the will of Kashmiri people. Turkey's support in Kashmir cause is highly beneficial for Pakistan. It is high time for the world powers to take notice of worst human rights violations committed by Indian troops in Indian occupied Kashmir. It is diplomatic victory of Pakistan that Kashmir issue is being discussed at significant international forums.

Turkey is highly fascinating country as far as history is concerned. Turkey has gained economic prosperity with effective economic policies and hard work. The people of Turkey are very close to the people of Pakistan. They have great respect for Pakistani nation. Turkey has always taken principle stand to safe guard the rights of Muslims all over the world. Both the countries have strong people to people contact. The Pakistanis have deep rooted sentiments of brotherhood for the people of Turkey.

It is high time to increase the trade volume between two Muslim countries. The incumbent government is determined to take full advantages of Turkey's economic cooperation.
