The US Foreign Affairs Committee has subpoenaed President Donald Trump's Special Envoy on Afghan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad on 19th of this month to testify him at an open hearing of the Committee regarding Afghan peace process.

In a series of Tweets, Chairman of the US Foreign Affairs Committee, Eliot L. Angel said we need to hear directly from the administration's point person on Afghanistan to understand how this process went off the rails.
