Chairman National Disaster Management Authority, Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal says Pakistan has made a great progress and has established a robust Disaster Management Mechanism.   

He was talking to Japanese Ambassador Kuninori Matsuda who called on him in Islamabad today (Friday).

Chairman NDMA said Japan's resilience against disasters and its Disaster Management System was a role model for the rest of the world.

He also appreciated the support extended by the Japan in strengthening Pakistan resilience against disaster.

During the meeting, Japanese Ambassador appreciated Pakistan's progress in the Disaster Management Sector and offered his country support for future initiatives as well.
