Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar says the government is determined to fully utilize all available resources to empower women.

Addressing a news conference following the conclusion of the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women in Islamabad today, he said it is a matter of honour for Pakistan to assume the chairmanship of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ministerial Conference on Women for the next two years.

He said that during the conference, OIC member states collectively reaffirmed their commitment to implementing measures that foster the social, political, and economic empowerment of women across the Islamic world.

The Minister said participating nations also resolved to grant women maximum access to modern innovation to enable them to better serve their respective countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Secretary General of the OIC, Ambassador Tariq Ali, expressed his firm belief that Pakistan will have more achievements in the area of women empowerment.
