Parliamentary Friendship Group urges for establishing banking channels between Pak, Iran for enhancing trade

Members of Pak-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group led by Syed Naveed Qamar called on the Speaker of Iranian parliament Dr. Ali Larijani in Tehran today.

According to details, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament warmly welcomed the delegation and he expressed that he is happy to meet with the Parliamentarians from Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ali Larijani said that the Parliamentary Friendship Group is the important forum which could facilitate in further strengthening bilateral parliamentary relations between two countries.

He also stressed upon need to improve security measures on the border of the Pakistan-Iran to avoid any untoward situations between two neighboring countries.

He also suggested finding mechanisms for establishing banking channels for enhancing trade and commerce relations as well as fulfillment of the Iran-Pakistan Gas pipeline.

Convener of Pakistan-Iran PFG Syed Naveed Qamar briefed Iranian Speaker about his meetings with parliamentary and government authorities and discussions on various issues of mutual interest.

He also informed that the Parliamentary Friendship Group is working towards facilitating in improving the Parliamentary as well as overall bilateral relations between two countries.

He reiterated that friendship group was acting as Ambassadors of Iran in the Parliament of Pakistan.
