Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz has appreciated Radio Pakistan's initiative of digitizing Pashto music to preserve cultural heritage of Pakistan.

He was addressing a ceremony after inaugurating E-library of Radio Pakistan's Pashto music at National Broadcasting House in Islamabad on Friday evening. 

Welcoming Radio Pakistan's initiative of digitizing Pashto music to preserve cultural heritage of Pakistan, Syed Shibli Faraz said this will help preserving our history for future generations.

He expressed the desire that Radio Pakistan should also focus on preserving cultural treasure in all the languages of Pakistan. The Minister also stressed the need for digitizing songs and music of other regional languages spoken in the country.

He said a poet narrates prevailing situation of his time through his rhymes.

Secretary Information and Broadcasting Zahida Parveen and Director General Radio Pakistan Ambreen Jan were also present on the occasion.
