World Health Organization has expressed concern about Central and South America where many countries are witnessing accelerating epidemics.

The Director-General of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said during a virtual press conference that for several weeks, the number of COVID-19 cases reported each day in the Americas has been more than rest of the world put together.

He said WHO continues to work to monitor the pandemic, to support countries to respond and to adapt our guidance for every situation.
